Make Measurable What Cannot Be Measured

The line is often attributed to Galileo. Probably wrongly — yet it captures something important about our approach to energy management.

The first part is easy: PV, storage, wallboxes, load profiles — today we measure almost everything. Dashboards full of values; ideally all of them green. The second part is the hard one. What about the things that can’t be measured directly? For instance: whether a meter is still sending at all.

An electricity meter reports 42 kW. Looks fine — until you notice the value has been frozen for hours. The connection is gone, the device is stuck. That is the “unmeasurable”: not the value itself, but the silence behind it.
